    1. This by far is the best in the series. I'm blown away by how brilliant this book actually is. For the reasons that usually the heroines think they know better but hello, someone is trying to kill you, so maybe you don't know better. Not once did the heroine have this syndrome. Therefore. BONUS. Now if any of you read my reviews you know that I am not a fan of second chance romance. Maybe because I'm a cynic or maybe it is how it is written or should I write how well it is written.Right from the [...]

    2. ‘Answers For Julie’ is the ninth book in the Bodyguards of L.A. County series. In the last year I’ve read the first books in this series and totally fell in love with Cate Beauman’s characters and her writing. So since it had been a while since I read the previous book in the series, it was definitely time to read ‘Answers For Julie’.Maybe it was because I haven’t read a Cate Beauman book for a while, or maybe this book was just very good, which is the right answer I think, but ‘ [...]

    3. Book 9 in the series and this series keep getting better. Julie likes her simple life as a massage therapist and yoga instructor in the little town she grew up in. A chance encounter with a woman at the local store changes her life as she knows it. Chase returns to Bakersfield after his grandmother dies and leaves him her house, which is next door to Julie. Chase and Julie were inseparable as children and teenagers and then he left to pursue his dream to become an FBI agent. When he returns, the [...]

    4. First of all, I love this series and have read all the other books, so this was a must read for me. This is also why I devoured this book in roughly 4hours, occasionally stopping for work. I enjoyed the main characters in this story, although they aren't my favourite of the series, but found myself hoping for some extra action at points. The twists of this story are good, and had me both giggling and crying. I thought the actual ending was a bit rushed, everything seemed to kick off in the last [...]

    5. I'm debating between 4 and 5 starsAnswers for Julie wasn't as high suspense as Alexa's book or Wren's (If my memory serves me correctly, Wren's book was like super intense!) but it was still an amazing read!It took me a few days to read, mainly because my boss wants me to actually work when I'm at the office WEIRD! Although it took me a few days, I was still on the edge of my seat and wanted to constantly know what happens next! I felt like a detective, trying to solve the mystery and I loved it [...]

    6. Interesting story. Just when you think it's settling down to a sweet romance, the plot takes another twist so you end up with a mystery within a mystery thriller and yeah a long-lost love romance too. Highly enjoyable!

    7. I enjoyed book 9 of The Bodyguards very much. Sometime the story of past lovers finding their way back to one another can be more satisfying than two people that have just met. I loved being a part of Chase and Julie's journey of finding themselves as a couple again. But I also enjoyed reading about Julie finding herself after discovering she'd been kidnapped as a little girl. I also enjoyed reading about Julie and Neve discovering their relationship as well and the bond they were creating befor [...]

    8. 5 stars. This series just keeps getting better and if you haven't read the other books in the I highly recommend it. This was a story of 2nd chance love but also had so many other twists and turns it had you on the edge of your seat and nothing gets done as you say to yourself 'just one more chapter then I'll move'. Chase and Julie became friends then sweethearts when he spent summer vacations with his grandparents it ended when life and misunderstanding got in the way, years later Chase is back [...]

    9. Romance and mysteryReminded me of Sandra Brown. Perfect mix of romance and mystery into the storyline to keep you completely enthralled. I really enjoyed reading this. Honestly was a bit afraid as this was book 9 I may have missed something but no. I would say if you like Sandra Brown, you'll like this.

    10. Long story. I really liked Julie and Chase. I don't understand why the author did what she did with Neve. I believe that was unnecessary. It just made the whole story that much sadder for me. That's all I'm going to say about the story. I'm glad I read it but I don't need to read it a second time. I'm now reading Finding Lyla by the same author.

    11. Suspense and twistsThis book has a complex story with wonderful characters and twists and intrigue. It was a bit too long for me though and I didn't want a character to die. But it does have a mostly happy ending.

    12. Pretty good. A good bit of sex, but it fit the characters and storyline and was done decently--neither crude or filled with idiotic romance euphemisms. Would read more from this author. 3.5

    13. Great bookI really enjoyed reading another book from Cate Beauman. I like the romance and the mystery. Would love to read more

    14. How would you feel to find out that the family who raised you wasn't really your family? Julie was brought up by her mother and grandparents in a small town. She's happy with her life now as a massage therapist and yoga instructor. However, when a woman she had never seen before says Julie is her daughter, her life will never be the same.Chase visited his Nana during summers as a child where he met Julie, who lived next door. As often happens to teenagers, they fell in love. But they hadn't seen [...]

    16. Pretty goodAndrea for Julie had a great plot and cast of characters. I enjoyed reading, for the most part, but got bogged down with unnecessary details and ended up often skimming.

    17. Chase was former FBI, now working for Ethan Cooke' s security firm. He's taking time off to get his late grandmother's house in shape to sell. Going back to the small town in Washington isn't easy. He'd spent his summer and winter breaks with Nana and had fallen in love with Julie there. She'd been his best friend and the love of his life. He thought they would eventually marry. Then something had gone terribly wrong and it all fell apart. Now he's going to be staying next door to her while he w [...]

    18. Cate Beauman's Answers For Julie is an emotionally charged book that will leave you breathless. Chase Rider is finally going back home to Washington after his grandmother, Nana, passes away. He needs to go back, go through her things, and possible put her house on the market. Hopefully, he can do it in as little time as possible and head back to work in Los Angeles without running into Julie Keller, the woman who broke his heart. Julie Keller has known Chase all her life and, at one point, hoped [...]

    19. E-Reader. Thriller / MysteryJulie (Jules) Keller grew up with Chase Rider. They fell in love. But Chases dream was to go to college then become an FBI Agent. She didn't hear from him for a long time. Got engaged to Bryce, but never married him.Chase came home for the holidays to find out his only love was engaged. He left again, but very upset. Now Chase is back, his Gran left him her old home that needed repairs. The house was next door to Julie's house. They both know in their minds that they w [...]

    20. Much better than the last entry. Chase Rider has inherited a home in Washington owned by his grandmother. His next-door neighbor was and is his best childhood friend Julie Keller. He and Julie were in love and had parted painfully ten years earlier. When Chase runs into her, the pain of their parting bursts into their meeting. They decide that they can't recapture their old relationship and part angrily. In the supermarket in town, Julie is approached by a woman who makes a surprising statement. [...]

    21. Petty Good!First I kept getting confused as Chase lived in Los Angeles, Calif and Julie lived in WA and it was repeatedly stated it was a 4hr flightwell that wouldn't be right. So, clearly it was meant to be Washington DC but I sure didn't see DC ever stated. The story was pretty goodI had to wonder WHY Julie would go stay at Nerves house, a stranger, BEFORE the DNA testing, I doubt many would do that but it was passed off as saying Julie wasn't ready which was quite odd. Otherwise, the story mov [...]

    22. Good but not my favoriteThis is one of my favorite series, so naturally, I couldn't wait to check it out. I enjoyed Chase in the last book and really wanted to know his story. Though they didn't want to admit it, Chase and Julie were perfect for each other despite their stubbornness and the years they put between them. The romance and drama part of this story was nice, and I enjoyed the storyline. My main complaint about the book was that even though there was some suspense, the real tension and [...]

    23. I had no idea this was book 9 of a series (guess I wasn't paying attention and I got it for free on bookbub so I wasn't looking too closely). It stands alone so if you get if for free, too, read it. It is more of a 3.5. I liked it well enough, the story moves and takes you on a bit of a ride and the characters have enough substance to them to keep you interested. The ending is predictable though so that can be a bit disappointing when analyzing a book for a review. Definitely worth a day's readi [...]

    24. Answers for JulieJulie and Chase are childhood sweethearts. They had there future planned out, but life gets in the way and they end up separated for 10 years. Chase is back in his home town after his Nana dies and who does he run into Julie Julie gets shocking news that will change her life. Chase helps her find out what happen to her when she was little. Being together again feels that they both thought had been buried come back. Can Chase save Julie or will he let her walk away again like she [...]

    25. Excellent Cate Beauman does it again A+++++Chase and Julie are great. This story made me Laugh, cry, get mad and go awe!! Imagine loving someone for that long and finally, finally being together. Julie going through all the turmoil she went through and Chase being right by her side. Love is awesome and it never hurts to have a hunky body guard to help. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

    26. Interesting storyWhile the story is interesting and keeps your interest, I figured out WHO was doing the behind the scenes manipulation. I don't like the main female character She is supposed to be a sweetheart that everyone loves but she doesn't act that way. She ends things with Chase almost daily and then cries when he is upset. Its impossible to count how many times she changes her mind, changes her plans, or ignored professional advice.

    27. Good startThe book was good at the beginning, however it started tanking for me about a third of the way through. How Julie could keep whining and failing to see the obvious is beyond me. It got to a point where part of me wanted her to die so the pouting could stop. I tied to be sympathetic, I really did. Anyway, this book has left me with no desire to read any others in the series. I basically had to skim the last half just to get it over with.

    28. What a Journey for Julie and Chase!Imagine not knowing what your name really is. After 26 years, Julie finds out that her name may really be Alyson, and that someone wanted her dead! Chase is the one person who knows who she really is, no matter what her name may be, and the one who truly loves her. Don't miss their story!

    29. Answers for JulieThis by far is the best book so far in the series. I like how you get to see the other characters from the other books and they always have each other's backs. A lot of good people in these books and with every new book that comes out, it feels like your back with old friends. Cannot wait for book ten!!!
