    1. Reviewed on 02/20/2012When I read the prologue on this book I was in love immediately. The prologue is the reason I wanted to read this book so very much. It’s dark, enticing and made my blood run cold in my veins. I was pretty excited to read this as you can see.[image error]That being said, the rest of the book does not measure up to its amazing start. It really fell flat and unimpressive. The plot is not the problem, cose the whole prophecy about a super vamp that can either destroy or save [...]

    2. Original Post: Love Fantasy SciFi NovelsI had seen this floating around the web for a while. I had added to my wishlist because I love vampires and it sounded really interesting. So I was super excited when the author asked to to review a eboo copy. Of course I said yes and I wasn't disappointed.Distract My Hunger, is a short story with only 122 pages. You'd think that with not alot of pages you wouldnt have full story. Well this is packed with excitement. Its a real page turner from start to fi [...]

    3. I loved it!It was a fresh surprise! I read it not expecting much and simply 'cause I dig vampire books a lot, and enjoyed it very much.I really didn't know much about what to expect of this book when I got hold of a copy, and it was a nice surprise indeed! I could not put it down! It is short and has a nice pace, so much so that I finished it in one day.My favourite thing about this book was the idea that vampires are simply born that way, everything seemed more "real". Because of that, I liked [...]

    4. I won this book from the Facebook page Bookies' promotion with the author. I confess I've not gotten into the whole vampire mania in today's writing. In fact, the last vampire books I read were Anne Rice's and they made me want to be one! I even wore my hair slicked back for a while (why I don't know) until someone at work told me I looked like a smacked ass.So, I was very happy to enter the giveaway and get this book to read. It was a nice re-introduction to the vampire genre. Ms. Williamson cr [...]

    5. I won this book thru first-reads and I have received it in a really short time if you consider the distance. I’m happy I can give a positive comment and I recommend it to all young vampire lovers. It’s not a very long book and you can read it in few hours but the intensity of it is worth a chance. I found the writing style good paced with an original and intriguing story. The story is told in first person by Iris, a teenager vampire who discovers to be such in an unusual way and this of cou [...]

    6. Complete Page tuner, Could not put this book down! The beginning just draws you in, with relatable characters, and an amazing pace. For this being a Debut book, I was pleasantly surprised how well the plot and storyline was laid out. The originality was unbelievable. I Completely loved this book. OMG a total recommend! I really hope there will be another one! This book was showcased During Authors Month Event (May)Come check it out!werevampsromance/

    7. This book was nothing like I had hoped or expected. I had thought it would have been darker, edgier, perhaps a bit more psychological but instead it was nothing more than just another Paranormal YA Romance. I found the narrator to be quite annoying through most of the book, in part I think because it felt as if the author was trying too hard to sound like a teenage girl and not really quite pulling it off. The scenes of the romance made me want to slit my wrists (yes that is over dramatic but si [...]

    8. The good thing about this book is that it's different. I've been reading vamp literature for a very long time now, and I always come across things that remind me of other books I read, making it almost boring and predictable. This is not a predictable book, the author has a very fresh take on vampires and their stories, making it a fun and unpredictable read. The main character is kind of annoying, scratch that, she's downright obnoxious, but only for the first 10 pages or so, and a bit during t [...]

    9. I have to admit that it took me a little while to get into this book. I felt that a lot of time was spent on setting up the characters and story in the beginning as well as trying to add in so many details that it made it hard for me to get into it. But then that all changed later when the story picked up that it was hard for me to put the book down. There wasn't anything around me that could "distract my hunger" from wanting to know what was going to happen next. I wish the book had been longer [...]

    10. Iris is a teenager who all of a sudden discovers she is a vampire. And her boyfriend doesn't dump her for that! This is a fast paced novel with interesting topics that one would like to see longer developed. The entire vampire world looks fascinating but Iris' introduction to it seems too quick, pushing her to act within hours of knowing her true self.Even though blood-drinking is not my cup of tea (argh!), I just had to turn every page to see how it ended.

    11. This book has a lot of potential but I think it needed to have more to it. The timeline felt very rushed with a lot of telling rather than showing. My other issues were spelling and grammar. I'm guessing English may not be the author's first language but the misspelled words are very simplistic. For starters - hipper should be hyper, artefact should be artifact. Within the first 30 pages, I came across 5 typos. That is quite a bit in such a short section. Overall, I came across 20 or so. Sentence [...]

    12. I like to support indie authors and since I found out this one was from Uruguay I gave it a try. It's unlike any other vampire book I've read in general terms. It is short but full of everything I wanted to read. It has romance, action and twists in the plot. The vampires are so believable! They are nothing like vampires in other books. It made me start thinking if vampires could exist in reality.I loved Iris, the main character. She is so complex and strong! I'd love to be like her. The cover a [...]

    13. 1.5 stars.Too fast-paced. I didn't feel any connection with the characters, and the plot had many holes in it. I don't recommend it.

    14. I usually hate short books. They are usually rushed and leave me felling unsatisfied, however I was completely bowled over by X. Williamson's unique writing style.
